Because Blackbreaks V.2.01 is about to be launched

From here at Blackbreaks HQ we wanted to check in and alert you good folk to what has been happening. Despite what appears from the outside to be a bit of a quiet patch, we can assure you we are still digging in and working away on the new album. Songs are forming, lyrics are being written, mixes are being mixed, beards are being stroked, and Kerry has been seen with a mandolin or some fancy wood carved hippy thing, but its OK, I broke it before he got to use it. For the Record – It wont be long now. And some big announcements on the way in a few weeks. Yee har!

Hey blackbreakers I’m here to tell you about two special shows coming up in December. So break out your diaries. The first is the final Blue Mountains show Sat Dec 15th at the Gearins in Katoomba. The final Sydney show for the year is at the Roxbury in Glebe on Sat 22 December. This is a benefit for the Starlight Foundation – what worthier cause to celebrate and see out the year. After these shows we will hunker down in Hungry Llama studios to record our debut album. More details soon.

Blackbreaks are Sydney’s newest and allegedly most humble ‘alt.rock supergroup’ feature members of MM9, iNsuRge, Vae Victis and the Rumjacks.

Blackbreaks are proud to be serving it up live at Venom Nightclub Saturday September the 1st to push the release of their self-titled EP now available from all good digital outlets.  (Such as their own website blackbreaks.com)

Blackbreaks are pissed about Pussy Riot, Sydney losing all its live venues, the pathetic state of both major political parties in this country, and the fact that the new iphone is taking so long to be released (except the bass player who has a Samsung). The only way to survive is to avoid your local top 40 Disco and defend the live rock, because live music is the true revolution!

You know you’ll want to sing along to all the Blackbreaks hits and memories about alienation, black presidents, radicals and conservatives, and high falutin’ dinner parties. I know I want to, but I’m the publicity dude so I’m biased.

Blackbreaks will be ably joined by Graveyard Rockstars, Dirty Dezire and Dollarosa (Qld).  All for only $15 – what a night!

Venom is at the Agincourt Hotel, 871 George Street, Sydney, just across from Central’s railway square.

And after an eventful Sydney Debut, Blackbreaks begins the touring (kind of) all the way over the mountains to the mightly Lithgow hotel.
