We dig community radio.
After quite some time of living the alt-rock dream by just posting pictures of ourselves – we felt it was time to put out some actual music.
This one is called “Need Machines” – if you like it – do support us by sharing it, and requesting it on good radio stations.

Release: Need Machines
Available now!
Well folks we are very pleased to be able to announce this is gonna be the first new Blackbreaks single from the 2014 batch.
This song , a rather chunky lump of rock, explores themes such as the inherent emptiness of over-consumption, the modern Australian collision of overt political corruption and public existentialism, and the underlying motivational forces that spring from a need for love and acceptance.
Well it sort of does anyway..
Hey Melbourne based Blackbreaks oriented folks, we are pleased to be able to announce one of our tracks has been included in a very special exhibition at the Abbotsford Convent called Aegis: A Sonic Installation.
The theme of the show is based on “care” and everyone knows Blackbreaks care. No really. really..
Teh deal is you take an FM radio down, and headphones, and walk around and the gardens and you will stumble across all the different music and spoken work bits and bobs, a fund day out, so go check it!
I have only just discovered this video from a few years back, currently doing the rounds at r/Australia on Reddit.
What it shows is quite shocking proof that something, or someone else is writing the speeches of two of the closest allies of the USA – Australia and Canada.
The video shows the Prime Ministers of both countries giving the exact same speech in their respective parliaments, about their reasons for participating in the invasion and subsequent war in Iraq back in 2003. (more…)
So you see folks, friends and fans often ask Blackbreaks to explain all about this “international law” business.
I know – fairly good question right? I mean what is this stuff like the Human rights laws and Refugee conventions and shit, the rules of warfare, and the Geneva Convention(s) and why can governments just cherry pick when to obey international law, and sometimes just ignore it?
